Simple Recurring Issues for Jira
Set it once and never manually create the same issue again
Overview
Every team has recurring work — weekly standups that need a ticket, monthly compliance checks, quarterly reviews. Creating them manually every cycle is a waste of time and easy to forget. Simple Recurring Issues lets you configure any Jira issue to clone itself automatically on a schedule you define: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly. You can also trigger cloning when the issue is marked done, which is useful for cyclical processes that need to start fresh once completed. Choose what carries over to the clone — assignee, labels, components, priority — and let it run.
Features
- Configurable recurrence schedules: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly
- Two trigger modes — on a fixed schedule or automatically when the source issue is marked done
- Day-of-week and day-of-month selectors for precise weekly and monthly scheduling
- Clone options to carry over assignee, labels, components, and priority to each new issue
- Start and optional end dates so recurrences stop automatically when no longer needed
- Automatic comment posted on each new clone with a link back to the source issue
Changelog
Initial release with recurring issue panel, daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly schedule support, on-done trigger mode, clone options, start and end dates, and hourly background trigger
